Puglia has two international airports: Bari Karol Wojtyla (BRI) and Brindisi Papola Casale (BDS). For Trulli d'Amore in Monopoli, Bari is the most convenient: 60 km, under an hour.
Puglia's two airports
Bari Karol Wojtyla (BRI) is the region's main airport. Modern terminal, complete services, car hire on arrival. From Bari to Trulli d'Amore: 60 km on the SS16 Adriatica, exit Monopoli L'Assunta. About 50 minutes in normal conditions.
Brindisi Papola Casale (BDS) is about 70 km from Monopoli — slightly further but manageable. Smaller airport with fewer routes.

Ryanair operates to Bari from London Stansted, Manchester and Birmingham. easyJet flies from London Gatwick and Bristol. Jet2 from Manchester, Leeds Bradford, Glasgow and Newcastle.
From Germany
Ryanair from Berlin, Cologne and Frankfurt. Eurowings from Düsseldorf, Munich and Stuttgart.
From the Netherlands and Belgium
Transavia and Ryanair from Amsterdam, Rotterdam and Eindhoven. Brussels Airlines and TUI from Brussels seasonally.
From the USA — new 2026
United Airlines operates direct seasonal Newark–Bari flights from May 2026, 4 weekly frequencies. ITA Airways with direct New York–Bari flights from June.
From Bari airport to Trulli d'Amore in Monopoli: 60 km on the SS16, under an hour by car. Car hire is essential — no adequate public transport alternative exists.

Car hire (recommended): all major operators at the airport — Hertz, Avis, Europcar, Sixt, Enterprise. Book in advance in high season.

July and August: 3–4 months ahead for reasonable prices. May–June and September: 6–8 weeks. October: often good fares 2–3 weeks before departure. Prices on Puglia routes rise quickly from April.
