Antonella D'Amore · ex Borgo Egnazia · Trulli d'Amore
“There is a specific magic in the Puglian countryside — the scent of wild thyme, the warmth of red earth, the silhouette of trulli against the darkening sky. Trulli d'Amore is our tribute to this landscape.”
— Antonella e Anna D'AmoreAntonella D'Amore brings to Trulli d'Amore the hospitality she learned at Borgo Egnazia, one of Puglia's most renowned luxury estates. Anna is her sister. In the summer of 2025, they opened the restored family masseria in contrada Santa Lucia, Monopoli in Valle d'Itria.
Our story
About us: Antonella
and Anna D'Amore
We were born in Bari. We have always known this land — the scent of olive trees, the white of the villages, the slow rhythm of the Puglian countryside in October.
We are two sisters, connected to this land from the beginning. Trulli d'Amore is the project that brought us back to reclaim a piece of family: a masseria with trulli and lamie in the Monopoli countryside, belonging to our grandparents. We restored it carefully, stone by stone, without rebuilding. Every trullo is original. Every lamia preserves its authentic vault.
Today we open it to our guests — families, groups of friends, those who seek the real Puglia. Not as a hospitality business. As a home.

Antonella D'Amore —
from luxury hospitality
to home
Antonella built her career in high-end hospitality. She worked for years at Borgo Egnazia — one of Italy's most recognised destinations — where she learned that true luxury is not in the scenography, but in authentic care. In the detail no one sees.
She saw how hospitality works when done well. Then she chose to return. To build something smaller, more personal, more her own. Not to replicate Borgo Egnazia — large resorts have a different mission — but to offer, in intimate form, the same attention. The same respect. The same time for every guest.
Today Antonella is the voice you hear on WhatsApp, the person who greets you at check-in, the one who recommends the right fishmonger for tonight's dinner.
The creative vision
Anna D'Amore —
the vision,
the project, the rhythm
Anna brought the creative vision and organisational capability to the project. She held the restoration together: the design, supplier relationships, material choices. She makes sure that every guest, at check-in, finds the house ready — not just clean, but right.
Fresh water in the fridge, bread from the local oven, sheets scented with real lavender, not detergent. Antonella welcomes. Anna builds the architecture of that welcome.
Together, we transformed the family trulli into what Trulli d'Amore is today. Not accommodation — a real home. Restored in respect of the original architecture, furnished with quiet elegance, lived in and loved every day.
Our vision
Why
Trulli d'Amore
Trulli d'Amore is not just a place — it is a philosophy. The conviction that true luxury is born from respect for the land and from an authentic connection with its local traditions.
We did not want to build a hotel. We wanted to build the place where we would have wanted to stay ourselves. With the right beds, the real kitchen, the wood-fired oven that requires time. With the space to do nothing and the space to do everything. The restoration taught us something we had not anticipated: we too had to learn slowness. Not as renunciation, but as a daily choice.
“Every guest who arrives brings their own story. Our work is to create the place where that story can breathe.”
